AN ANTIQUE NATURAL PEARL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE

circa 1890
Designed as a line of graduated old mine and rose-cut diamonds, suspending a detachable pendant composed of two baroque gray pearls, weighing 55.32 and 16.93 grains, accentuated throughout by rose-cut diamonds; estimated old mine-cut diamond weight: 4.10 carats; mounted in silver-topped gold;
Length of pendant: 1 5/8in.; length of necklace: 14 3/4in.
Accompanied by Swiss Gemological Institute report #61000, dated October 14, 2011, stating: the two pearls are natural, of saltwater origin, no indications of colour modification.
