FOOTNOTES: For a chocolate pot by the same maker with very similar spout and handle sockets, see Timothy B Schroder, "The Gilbert Collection of Gold & Silver," (Los Angeles 1988), cat 78. Schroder points out that the that it is likely that these spouts and handle sockets may have been supplied by a specialist maker as the Gilbert Collection also contains a coffee pot by William Cripps with the same features.
